Tangelo Twist

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring the In Colors that will be retiring soon.  Today we are coming to the last In Color, TANGELO TWIST.

I pulled out a retiring set and a newer accessory to make a really fun card featuring tons of TANGELO TWIST.

Told ya there was lots of Tangelo Twist on this card!!  I went a little crazy with it!  It all started with the idea of using RAY OF SUNSHINE with the SUNBURST THINLIT.

I wanted the rays to be Tangelo Twist, but I also wanted the card base to be that same color.  So, I needed a layer in between.  In comes the also retiring COLOR ME IRRESISTIBLE Designer Paper.  I chose a geometric design and sponged on color.  It turned out to be a great contrasting layer!

I took it a step further and added a lot of color inside the card as well.  I was able to incorporate the die cut too!

I die cut a sunburst to use as a template for sponging.  I kept the sponging light so the sentiment could really stand out in the middle.

And of course there is a sunburst on the envelope too!  Gotta coordinate in every way!!
