Picture Perfect #GDP028

I've been enjoying the inspiration over at the Global Design Project, so this week I did a card for the challenge #GDP028.

I went with a beachy feeling watercolor using PICTURE PERFECT.  I just love the starfish, so I used the layout from the challenge for my inspiration.

This week the idea is to selectively edit and do a card with this design from Jessica Williams.  I chose to use a similar layout for mine.

I pulled the striped Bermuda Bay paper from the March My Paper Pumpkin Kit.  It was the perfect bright color to contrast the Sahara Sand card base and softly water colored starfish.

Over the starfish I added a bit of vellum cardstock with the sentiment stamped in black.  And to keep with the layout, I added a bit of thick white twine to the left side as a finishing touch.

I loved this week's challenge so much, that I made a second card with a bit of a different take on the layout that I'll share next!  Bet you can't guess which stamp set I used (hint...you've seen a lot of it since it's a fav)!

Let's get ready for Halloween!

I don't know about you, but I love little treats and decorations for Halloween.  I am already planning out some party ideas that I thought would be fun to share! I've been busy as you can see!  It all started with the thought of doing a banner and I just kept going and going! Each piece of the banner has different stamps and die cuts from the Howl-o-ween Treat bundle and was way more fun to create than I anticipated!  The panels are each 4" x 6" with the banner end hand cut.  I am actually working on a tutorial to release next week with the instructions for the banner and the treats so you can make your own!  UPDATE: YOU CAN FIND THE TUTORIAL HERE! Preview Week Day 6 and BLOG CANDY!!

Woo Hoo!! Today is Day 6 of Preview Week and it's my turn to give away BLOG CANDY!!  I am super excited to be on the Design Team for the Spring Collection 2015 from Create with Connie and Mary.
