Stamp Camp!!!!


Project 1 is a card made from a6 x 6 piece of paper folded in half. The envelope is included.
I used the Tart and Tangy set that originated in the summer mini catalog.


Project 2 is a Paper Bag Purse. A paper bag is the base of this project. The new In Colors are used as well as some of the new die cut flowers that Stampin' Up! is offering. I also used the Bella Blossoms set for the background and greeting.


Project 3 is a great little 3 x 3 Card Holder. A business size envelope is the base of the holder. Two 3 x 3 cards fit into this holder. You get to make the card holder and 2 cards to go inside, envelopes are included.

Project 4 is a scrap book page and is still in the works. I will post a picture as soon as it is completed.



I am having my first ever Stamp Camp!! With the new 2008-2009 Fall-Winter Catalog being out, there are so many things to see and do, I felt a Stamp Camp was the way to get the info out. I am doing things a little bit different than I normally would, I'd love to get your feedback on this concept. Instead of having a set price and project list, I set it up for you to do 2 projects for $10 or 4 projects for $20. I felt this was a way for those who are limited with time to be able to run in and do a couple projects and see what's new. For those of you with more time, you can do all 4 projects and linger longer. I will have displays with samples made with new sets and lots of project ideas. Be sure to bring your camera to get pictures of all of these ideas. I will also have door prizes each hour and light refreshments. Here's the scoup:

WHEN: Saturday September 20th 10am to 2 pm
WHERE: Nazerene Church on St Rt 73 in Wilmington, they have a nice community room.
For those of you needing specific directions, just let me know
REGISTRATION: the cost is $10 for projects 1 & 2, $20 for all 4 projects

Rainbow of Butterflies

Today I have a super fun card that was inspired by the challenge at the Global Design Project. I love this card with all the color and the inspiration from the Design Team was amazing!  I planned on making a card with the Butterfly Duet Punch and this challenge gave me the perfect idea! I have always loved the cards and framed art with punched out butterflies as the focal point.  So I sat down with a rainbow of colors and punched out bunches of tiny butterflies.  After arranging them in many ways, this is the design I ultimately chose.  My colors are Melon Mambo , Flirty Flamingo , Pool Party , Bermuda Bay , Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape . Each butterfly was given dimension by using the stylus on the Take Your Pick Tool.   You can see below that I placed the punch out on my Stampin' Pierce Mat and just ran the stylus down the center of the butterfly. Halloween Mini Clothespins

I have a really cute project to share today for Halloween.  Remember the mini clothespin I shared with you on Wednesday ?  Well, I loved that cute little clothespin so much I made a couple of sets. Are these adorable or what?!!  The Motley Monster Designer Series Paper makes a great embellishments for these little guys.  This set of four was so quick to make, I make another set that I will share with you tomorrow. Each clip has a magnetic backing so they can be useful and cute! Peachy Keen Jellybean!

I used to love to say "Peachy Keen Jellybean" when I was younger so when I first saw the new Occasions catalog I smiled!  The Peachy Keen stamp set is right up my alley!!  I haven't had the chance to use the bundle much so I pulled it out for this week's Monday Lunchtime Sketch challenge. This sketch is perfect for the Peachy Keen stamps and Gorgeous Grunge. Putting together a fun yet fast card is always a good thing!  I had this card complete in 15 minutes flat...and that's with a fussy baby hanging out next to me in his stroller! The card base is Tangerine Tango with a simple layer of Whisper White. The right side has Gorgeous Grunge stamped with Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar.  I didn't want to over do it and make the card too busy, I wanted the greeting to stand out.
