New projects....Yeah!!!!



I finally got a chance to play around a bit with some new ideas I've discovered. Beate has a great little Mini Photo Book Tutorial on Splitcoaststampers. I tried it out and I love it!! The instructions were easy to follow. I used the Jersey Shore Designer Paper and chipboard coasters. This project is easy to put together and too cute!

Welcome to the CREATION STATION BLOG HOP!  This is my first month on the team and I am super excited to be a part of this AWESOME group of stampers! We are using fall sets this month with a THANKFUL theme and our feature product is WASHI TAPE. I don't know about you, but I hoard washi tape just like I hoard designer paper.  It's been an ongoing process, but I am making an effort to use up (gasp!) the consumable supplies that I buy.  So, today I have used TONS of washi tape to show you how easy it is to actually use the fun accessories that you buy! I started out with a bunch of washi tape on my desk and thought about what kinds of fun little gifts I could make with things in my craft room.  So I dug through my drawers and came up with some coasters and tea candles. Howl-o-ween Treat

I love creating fun little treats and Halloween is a great excuse!  There's a super fun new bundle in the upcoming Holiday Catalog that is perfect for treats and all things Halloween.   Is this cute or what!!  Howl-o-ween Treats has bold images with matching framelits that give lots of options for Halloween creations.  I paired it with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit and a few bright bold colors. I used the colors from the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge .  When I saw these colors, they were bright and bold and my first thought was Halloween! The Tangerine Tango Mini Treat Bag was embossed with  Large Polka Dots then just a few simple elements were added.  A bold sentiment and hat from Howl-o-ween and a couple of Black Glimmer Paper stars.  The simple design makes it easy to create these in volume to give out to excited trick or treaters! Rainbow of Butterflies

Today I have a super fun card that was inspired by the challenge at the Global Design Project. I love this card with all the color and the inspiration from the Design Team was amazing!  I planned on making a card with the Butterfly Duet Punch and this challenge gave me the perfect idea! I have always loved the cards and framed art with punched out butterflies as the focal point.  So I sat down with a rainbow of colors and punched out bunches of tiny butterflies.  After arranging them in many ways, this is the design I ultimately chose.  My colors are Melon Mambo , Flirty Flamingo , Pool Party , Bermuda Bay , Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape . Each butterfly was given dimension by using the stylus on the Take Your Pick Tool.   You can see below that I placed the punch out on my Stampin' Pierce Mat and just ran the stylus down the center of the butterfly.
