Reason for the Season Wine Tags

Image
Wine bottle tags are perfect for this time of year.  They are quick to make and dress up a wine bottle for easy gift giving.  Earlier in the week I shared a set of tags made with COZY CHRISTMAS .  Today I'm back with a set made with REASON FOR THE SEASON . Like the previous tags, I varied the designs using the same elements. Each tag has a musical background from HOME FOR CHRISTMAS designer paper.  A little gold glimmer and poinsettias give the tags a festive feel. The poinsettias are all fussy cut and have a pearl in the center.  They are popped up with dimensionals over the sentiments.  I stamped the outline with archival black to give a bold outline so they really stand out. Usually I have a favorite, but I can't pick one from these tags....I love them all!  To make your own, just check out the first post where I gave the basic instructions.  I hope you'll give these festive tags a try! Sky is the Limit

Image
I'm taking a quick break from Christmas cards to share a Sale-a-bration sneak peek with you! It's so fun to get new stamps!  My pre-order (a perk of being a demo!) came yesterday so there was no way I could make a Christmas card with these beauties on my desk.  I went with a clean and simple card using the sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary . I thought of the airplane and cloud from SKY IS THE LIMIT right away when I saw the layout of the flowers.  It ended up working out quite nicely! I tried out a design from one of the new designer papers as well, but it blended with the Tempting Turquoise base.  So I looked at the left over pile on my desk and a strip of WINTER WONDERLAND VELLUM jumped out at me.  It made the perfect edition and kept the card clean with just the three colors. Now that I have new goodies, I will start bringing you more sneak peeks along with Christmas ideas this month. Tomorrow stop back to see the second set of wine bottle tags that I made w...

Wine Bottle Tags

Image
This week I finally got a chance to check an item off my must do list, WINE BOTTLE TAGS.  I have loved this idea since I first saw it years ago, but this is the first time I've actually made them. Isn't this just the best idea for dressing up a bottle of wine for a gift!  COZY CHRISTMAS turned out the be the perfect stamp set to make these easy tags. I made three tags that coordinate but all have their own look. All of the sentiments were stamped the same.  I did the sentiment in Archival Black ink then stamped the it a second time on separate paper in Real Red and cut out "season" and "home" to add over top. Here's the quick details so you can put together a set for yourself! ** Cut your cardstock 2 1/2" x 8" and score at 2 1/4". ** Punch a circle in the 2 1/4" portion of the tag using the 1 3/8" circle punch. ** Embellish!  I adhered designer paper 2 3/8" x 5 5/8" to the tag portion then added a sentiment and SNOWFLA...

Cozy Christmas in Black and White

Image
I've gone with a bit of a different color scheme for today's Christmas card.....it's all in black and white. It all started with the WINTER WONDERLAND VELLUM STACK .  Some of the designs are black so I thought why not do an entire card with black and white.  COZY CHRISTMAS has a lovely little scene that works perfectly with the vellum that has the pine trees. I added a layer of the BLACK GLIMMER PAPER from Halloween, it fit well with the sketch challenge I used for inspiration. It's the sketch from Try Stampin' -or not- on Tuesday .   Now you can see how the black glimmer paper fit in so well! I added in a couple of the larger silver sequins from the Cottage Greetings card kit and a white embossed sentiment to finish off the card.  And as always the envelope is stamped to coordinate. I hope you'll join the challenge with me.  You have two weeks to add a card to the line up.  Just visit Try Stampin' -or not- on Tuesday for all the details plus more great ...

Winter Wonderland

Welcome to the CREATION STATION BLOG HOP!  This month we are all about Christmas!  Are you ready yet?  I'm not.......I'm still in disbelief that it's December so I am excited to see the ideas the team has for us today! One of my favorite sets in the catalog is WONDERLAND .  I love the elegant design and that it's not just for Christmas.  For today, I combined it with the coordinating WINTER WONDERLAND VELLUM STACK to create a card and set of vellum gift tags. I started out with the idea to use the WINTER WONDERLAND VELLUM STACK for a mini treat bag to fill with tags. The pine cone vellum is my favorite design, so I created the MINI TREAT BAG with it.  A couple of simple embellishments were just the right touch.  Sometimes less is more! Next, I punched five different designs of vellum with the SCALLOPED TAG TOPPER PUNCH . I tried to keep each of the tags simple and coordinated.  So in comes the SLEIGH RIDE EDGELITS and CHRISTMAS GREETINGS THINLITS .  The two work s...

Cuppa Hot Chocolate

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring Christmas gifts or favors!  Lots of ideas for gifts to give out to teachers, friends and anyone else that needs to be appreciated at this time of year. I pulled out my envelope board and created a couple of hot chocolate gifts that are easy to make and would be loved by anyone. Aren't these great!!  Best part, they are very easy to make so you can have lots to hand out! To make these all you need is some designer paper and an envelope punch board.  Cut the paper 6 3/4" x 6 3/4" and follow the directions for the 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" envelope on the punch board.  So your first score mark is at 3" then just rotate the paper and line up with the score lines.  Once your scoring is done.  Fold up 3 flaps and cut off the last one which will be one of the shorter sides. Add a belly band and embellish!  I used the GORGEOUS red foil paper and added a fun falala to the band.  The...

More Paper Pumpkin

Image
How about one more alternate idea for the week?  I sat down with the November My Paper Pumpkin and a few left overs from cards this week and came up with this. A very simple design that was SO easy to do since all the pieces were already there for me! I used the card base and Cherry Cobbler paper from the kit and added in a couple of die cuts from Sleigh Ride and Christmas Greetings thinlits.  Even the gold shimmer star was already done...the card took about 7 minutes which is awesome! Guess what else is awesome......the DECEMBER MINI SESSION!   We have put together some great tutorials for you which will include NEW OCCASIONS PRODUCTS!
