I did a couple more samples for the May Technique Challenge that my upline Patty Bennett gave our group. This time I did something softer with white embossing powder.  The first card is a birthday card, which I sent to Patty as her birthday is Monday. I LOVE how soft and pretty this card is.  I embossed with white then used Pretty in Pink on a sponge to add soft color.  The greeting is embossed with white as well. The next sample is just a little different, I used a different greeting and used a rosette instead of butterflies for embellishment. Thanks for stopping by to look! Well, guess I've been in an embossing mood lately, cause here's another type of embossing technique!  This time I used Emboss Resist. I embossed an image then used ink directly to the paper with sponge daubers. This first sample is the card I made for my Mom for Mother's Day. I used Apothecary Art from the mini catalog that has carried over to the new catalog that will begin June 1. I embossed with black and then sponged colors over the flowers to add color. I even used my Old Olive marker to add extra color to the leaves for more detail. This was a technique my upline Patty Bennett challenged us to make cards with this month. As I said in the last post, I have been making lots of cards using the double embossing technique. Today I'd like to share another card using Nursery Neccesities. The double embossing looks like fancy wallpaper on the card and gives it an elegant feel. I really like the layout, so I made more baby cards! I hope you like the double embossing as much as I do! Hello Friends! It's been quite awhile since I've been able to post on my blog, I have really missed it! I have tons of cards to share!! I am in the process of editing the photos to show you. Plus, I am trying something new, I am blogging from my iPod! If this goes well, I will have the ability to post more frequently. So, today's share is one of my favorite creations. I made a sweet baby girl card using Nursery Necessities. I love this fantastic set that I won in a contest from my wonderful upline, Patty Bennett. Thank you Patty! I used double embossed pretty in pink paper for the bottom of the card, it's my favorite new technique. I actually created this card for Sherrill Graff's card maker contest. Sherrill does a contest every year at this time to find card makers for her convention swaps. This is the first time I have entered and I am really excited about being a finalist! A little break from Christmas items today.  My daughter turned 6 at the beginning of the month and I wanted to share something I made for her.  Last year I made her a crown that I will have to take pictures of to share with you.  This year I made her a Fairy Princess Wand.  She loves all things princess and fairy so what better gift that a magical wand! All materials are retired Stampin' Up! products plus a dowel for the handle.  This came together super easy, just two layers of paper rosettes and butterfly die cuts with a bit of glitter for sparkle!  I also added ribbon to add movement.  All in all, I love it!  Sofia did too! Here's the wand with the birthday card made to match. Sofia loved her Fairy Princess Tea Party and wand.  It was a fun birthday party!  I will be back to Christmas next post, I have tags and cards to share with you.  Hope you are enjoying the Holiday Season! I made some new penguin magnetic clothes pins to show you plus a couple other penguins I made last year. Here's the group together. I think they are pretty darn cute! Who doesn't love a penguin?! First, here are close ups of the clothes pin clips that I am officially obsessed with making.... I just love theses clips!  The penguins are too cute and I am using up scraps of designer paper that I hoard...um I mean save.. and putting them to good use! I also have a couple penguins from last year to show closer up.   First is the same owl punch art penguin turned into a pencil holder.  This is a great seller at the craft shows for me. Second penguin from last year is made from the top note die cut.  I had note cards tucked in the box last year, but this year I think I might want to find a cute way to package the clothes pins clips in there. I was going to share my Penguin clothes pin magnets, but I forgot to take pictures before sending them to the bookstore to sell :-(   So I will have to make another set and take pictures so I can show you how stinkin' cute they are!!  Instead, I will show you a couple more punch art cards of Santa and Rudolph. First is Santa with the Top Note die cut as the background.  Ya think I like the top note die??  I have used it on about half of my cards...  Anyway, I really love the Santa so here is another card featuring him. And here is another card featuring Rudolph, I love the way this turned out!  What do you think? The new scoring tool is so great! Makes the lollies so much easier to make!
