I usually don't do tons of fall cards, but I have totally fallen (pun intended) for Lighthearted Leaves!

Not only have I fallen in love with this set, but I am really loving these colors together!  You've probably already guessed that I love Bermuda Bay but isn't it just gorgeous combined with Crushed Curry and Soft Suede!

The banner is so cool too, it's one of the designs from the new fall designer paper called Into the Woods.  You will be seeing this paper a lot from me, it's so amazing!  And speaking of amazing, what about the colorful leaves!  I am loving the leaves heat embossed and sponged with color....so bold and pretty!

But what about the inspiration for this card......I used the sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday!

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!   August is all about the new IN COLORS and today we are featuring TIP TOP TAUPE! I pulled out my new Holiday stamps and thought a fall card would be perfect for today's theme. Lighthearted Leaves is an elegant fall set that pairs beautifully with the Woodland embossing folder.  A simple design lets these gorgeous products shine. The sentiment makes a great focal point with a couple of leaves and a bit of Metallic thread. Let me show you real quick how I add metallic thread to a card.  I just wrap about 15 or so inches of thread around three fingers then hold the bottom and let the loops move around into a shape I like.  Then I place the looped thread on the dimensionals or SNAIL on the back of the item that I am adding it to.  Once it's on the adhesive, I can look at the front and see if the loops show how I want and re-adjust as needed.  Then it's easy to add the whole thing to the card and it looks just ho...

Flashback Friday: Travel Time

Welcome to another Flashback Friday!!  Today we travel back to 2003 for the fun stamp set called Travel Time.  I thought this was an appropriate set for this week.  It is Stampin' Up!'s convention this week so a lot of demonstrators are traveling.  Here's what the set looks like. I made a CAS card (clean and simple) with this set.  I have been doing more of the clean look lately, it brings this set a more modern look. The card is very simple, Whisper White card stock and neutral inks.  Here's the details: 1.  Card base is Whisper White.  I stamped the map and suitcase in Crumb Cake .  Stamped the sentiments in Basic Gray. 2.  Stamped the card on Glossy White card stock (boy do I wish this paper was not retired) with StazOn Black ink.  Color was added with markers and blender pen.  I fussy cut the car and added it to the card with dimensionals.
