It's Thursday and time for a new challenge from the talented ladies at Create with Connie and Mary.  This week we have a color challenge, So Saffron, Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry. I wasn't quite sure what to do.  I went through my stamps and tossed around ideas and finally decided on Gorgeous Grunge and the greeting from the My Paper Pumpkin welcome kit. I must say that the Gorgeous grunge stamps are So. Much. Fun!  It's hard not to over do it, I just want to keep adding splats!  I kept this card pretty simple.  Did my lines and splats with Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry.  The card base and Scallop circle from the Circle Flip card Thinlets are in Rich Razzleberry as well.  I stamped the greeting with Bermuda Bay and die cut it with a circle framelit.  For extra fun I added So Saffron stars die cut with a star from the Circle Flip Card Thinlets.  The chevron die cut is in that collection as well.  I used all three colors for the che...

As promised I have put together a picture tutorial of how I made the holder for two mini milk cartons. I forgot to punch a handle in the carton I made for the instructions, but you can see how it looks on my finished products.  Here is a look at one of the Halloween holders I made last week. Here we go with the tutorial. *NOTE* It should be 1" on the long side not 3/4" *NOTE* The first score line should be 1" not 3/4" Here is another finished holder. I have a Fall card to share today for the new sketch from Try Stampin on Tuesday.  The air is getting crisp here and pumpkins are on my kid's agenda, so I made a punch art card.  First, here is a look at the sketch.  Looking at the sketch, I thought a punch art pumpkin would be perfect where the circle is.  Here's what I did. I have been using the retired Autumn Vine DSP that I have on my fall cards.  I chose a darker pattern to contrast with the pumpkin.  The banner is More Mustard, the card base and pumpkin are the retired color Dusty Durango.  I gave the pumpkin texture with the Houndstooth EF and added a stem punched with the retired Wrought Iron Punch.  I love the simplicity of the card, very easy to make many of them if need be. It's Monday again and time for a new sketch from Mary Jo at Technostamper.  Another really fun sketch this week, take a look. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do at first.  I took at look at my stamps from the Holiday catalog and decided to go with a Christmas card.  But not just any card , a pop up card with Color Me Christmas as the main focus.  Here's the front of the card. The first part of the card I focused on was the banners on the left side.  I thought about using Gorgeous Grunge or card stock banners.  But then I realized that the chevron stamp from A Banner Christmas would work perfectly for the sketch.  I used Old Olive, Real Red, and Crumb Cake for my chevron colors.  The greeting is from Oh, Goodie.  It's stamped with Real Red on Whisper White and die cut with a Bitty Banner Framelit.  Santa was stamped with StazOn Black on Glossy card stock and fussy cut so it could be added to the card with dimensionals.  I colored Sant...

Today I have two more Mini Milk Carton treats to share with you.  Making these cute little mini cartons is quite addicting!  Here is the first, it uses the retired set that goes with the Mini Milk carton die cut, Got Treats. Super cute, isn't it!  I used Tangerine Tango for the milk cartons and retired Kiwi Kiss for the holder.  A couple of you have asked about the measurements of the holder, I will make a pattern to share with you next week. Here's a better view of the milk carton.  I used Whisper White card stock cut with the smallest Label framelit for the pumpkin and greeting.  I don't have a Tangerine Tango marker, so I stamped once with Tangerine Tango and cut out the pumpkin to glue to the die cut label where I used markers to stamp the stem and greeting. Welcome to another Flashback Friday!  This week I am featuring Fall Whimsy from 2003.  This is a well loved set that I haven't used in awhile.  But it's perfect for fall cards which is what I'm working on for the bookstore that I sell at.  Here's the stamp set. I wanted to add current products to the retired that I used.  So I made a flip card with the Circle Flip thinlet.  I absolutely LOVE making these flip cards!  I used to do them the hard way with the framelits.  This way is SOOOOO much easier! You can see more about the Thinlets on my SU Promotions page .  For this fall card I went with Chocolate Chip for my card base.  The DSP is a retired set called Autumn Vine.  The circle under the leaf is retired Creamy Caramel and the leaf itself is retired Dusty Durango. Thursday came mighty quick this week!  I have a new card to share with you that I made for the sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.  A very fun challenge and just in time for my parent's anniversary.  Here's the sketch for this week. They are keeping us on our toes with these wonderful shape challenges!  This week is a square card.  I took mine a little further and made it into an easel card as well.  I wanted a wow factor for my parent's.  Take a look. Here's the front of the card, now for a look at it with the easel. I really love how this card turned out, very soft and romantic feel to it. My colors are Soft Sky and Baked Brown Sugar.  The DPS is from Afternoon Picnic, a lovely and muted look.  I made a larger focal point than the sketch.  I used a doily with a layer of Soft Suede and then the flower stamped with Soft Sky on Whisper White.  The ribbon is Pool Party seam binding and the greeting is from the hostess ...
