Dressed Up Pop Up Card

Image
I have another Pop 'n Cuts card to share today.  This time I used it the traditional way for a Dressed Up card.  I used Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake again, it's such a beautiful combination. Blooming with Kindness is the stamp set used for this card.  Here's what I did. 1.  Cut Blushing Bride card stock with Pop 'n Cuts base.  Also cut a dress form insert for inside the card, used Blushing Bride card stock for that as well. 2.  Die cut 2 dress forms from Crumb Cake card stock and stamped them both with the flower in Blushing Bride ink. 3.  The front of the card has a large doily that was in my daughter's stash of craft goodies.  I added a die cut from Apothecary Accents Framelits in Whisper White stamped with Blushing Bride flowers. Added tafetta ribbon and pearls to the dress and adhered it to the Apothecary die cut. 4.  The inside has several layers of paper, let me show you. The Pop 'n Cuts insert has  a scalloped bottom edge that I ...

Flashback Friday: Bundled in Love

Image
Welcome to another Flashback Friday!  This week I am featuring a baby stamp set from 2007 called Bundled in Love.  Isn't this set just the cutest!  I have my Pop 'n Cuts base out right now for some cards I've been working on and decided to make a gift card holder for my flashback this week. I just love this little hippo!  I used quite a few retired items with this gift card holder.  Bashful Blue is the base cad stock.  I do so miss this beautiful color of blue!  I used Pear Pizzaz as my accent color of card stock and seam binding.  The DSP is from the retired Nursery Nest.  I stamped the hippo with StazOn Black on Glossy white and colored it with my Bashful Blue marker and a blender pen.  I used dimensionals to adhere it to my gift card holder.  Pretty simple!  Let's look inside next. I kept the inside simple.  Welcome Baby is stamped tone on tone  and Whisper White cs is added with Congratulations stamped in Bashful ...

Mosaic Madness for CCMC263

It's Thursday and we have a new challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  This week is a sketch challenge, here's a look. I wasn't sure where to go with this at first.  I ended up choosing Mosaic Madness so I could make my own patterned paper.  Here's the card I made. I had Polka Dot Parade DSP sitting out from a previous project, so I picked the Razzleberry paper to start out with.  I love the look of Razzleberry and Coastal Cabana so I made a pattern on Whisper White with those two colors.  I added the DSP and my home made pattern in the shapes of the sketch on the Coastal Cabana card stock.  I made my card base Whisper White with the intention of a Razzleberry layer then realized I was out!  I only had a tiny bit of the DSP left which is why you only see Razzleberry on the sides instead of a full background mat.  I added in small punched flowers with Candy Dots and my greeting to complete the card.  This was a fun challenge, I hope you...

Blooming with Kindness Birthday Card

Image
Today's card was made for my Mom, her birthday is tomorrow.  I wanted a soft floral card, so I went with Blooming with Kindness.  It is a beautiful flower and has a great birthday greeting as well.  After choosing the stamp set I wanted to work with, I thought about my colors.  Blushing Bride has been off my radar for awhile, so I thought it was time to use it and Crumb Cake.  I think these two colors look gorgeous together.  Here's how the card came together. 1.  Cut my card base from Blushing Bride card stock using the Pop 'n cuts base.  2.  Stamped the flower in Crumb Cake on Whisper White and die cut it with a circle framelit. 3.  Die cut a Window Framelit from Crumb Cake to layer the flower on. 4.  After the flower is layered on Crumb Cake, paper pierced free hand around the circle.  Adhered the flower to a retired Blushing Bride DSP and paper pierced around the Crumb Cake.  Added the DSP to the front of the card. Pre...

Secret Garden for TSSC275

It's Monday and time for a new Monday Lunchtime Challenge at Technostamper .  Mary Jo is running this challenge for two weeks since she'll be out of town and unable to post a new challenge next Monday.  Bonus is she is offering blog candy,  so be sure to stop over at her blog to get entered! Here's the sketch. This sketch has many possibilities, I ended up going the floral route using Secret Garden. I kept the card soft and simple.  The card base is Soft Sky and the accent color is Baked Brown Sugar.  I kept the colors I stamped with the same.  I collage stamped on the Whisper White then added a die cut flower and leaves to put at the bottom.  The sentiment is from Express Yourself, stamped in Baked Brown Sugar below the collage.  It was nice working with a simple card design, this card I made would be beautiful in any color scheme and the greeting could be anything as well.  Thanks for stopping by! You can see cards made by the other membe...

Flashback Friday: Sparkling Summer

Image
Welcome to this week's Flashback Friday!!  Today we are flashing back to 2004 for the fun set Sparkling Summer. I think this is such a cute summer stamp set!  I thought now is the perfect time to pull it off the shelf and do a little stamping.  Here's the card I came up with. I am still into the clean and simple cards.  I am liking the look of a simple white circle with an image and no matting.  For this card it works well since the background is a soft color, Soft Sky.  I added in Baked Brown Sugar for contrast and the flip flops on the side balance things out.  I stamped the images on Glossy White (still bummed about it retiring) and colored them in with blender pens off my ink pads.  It took me a minute to figure out a sentiment for this card.  I ended up using Happy Retirement from Teeny Tiny Wishes, seemed perfect for a beach chair card! Thanks for checking out my flashback card for this week!  I have a group a ladies that are going...

Mosaic Madness for CCMC262

Today I have another clean , modern looking card to share.  I made this one for the Thursday Challenge at Create with Connie and Mary.  This week we were given a color challenge to work with. I have never paired these colors, but I really like the way they look together.  I did a card using Mosaic Madness, take a look. I love the way my card turned out, here's the details. 1.  Picked Bermuda Bay for the card base.  Used corner rounding punch for lower right and upper left corners.  My punch would not go through two layers on the top corner, so I cut along the marks made by the punch. 2.  My Whisper White layer has the same corners rounded off and paper piercing added to the opposite corners. 3.  I stamped my mosaics on a separate piece of Whisper White and punched them out.  I arranged them in the pattern I wanted, then adhered them with dimensionals.  I added small pearls to the center of each one. 4.  Lastly, I added the Happy Bir...
