If you guessed SHAKER card then woo hoo for you!  Anyone who has visited my blog knows that shaker cards are my very favorite style and what is better than a shaker card that is easy to mail!!  That's where my friend VELLUM comes in.  It provides a great window for my shaker and makes it quick and easy to put together. The new catalog is just one week away, I hope you've been enjoying all of the samples with upcoming stamp sets!  Today's card features Friendly Wishes, a great new set of bold sentiments. I used the sketch from Try Stampin' -or not- on Tuesday for my inspiration. Starting out, I knew I wanted to go with the chalkboard look, so I chose bold colors including black. This card has a little bit of everything!  Designer paper, washi tape and sequins (of course!)  I love Bermuda Bay with Basic Black so I started there.  The striped paper I picked is from Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper in the Occasions Catalog.  It and the chalkboard paper I used are only here for one more week, so get some before they're gone! The sentiment is Whisper White craft ink on a banner die cut from chalkboard paper.  As I've said before LET. IT. DRY. Have I told you yet that I can't get enough of Sprinkles of Life??  I'm sure I have and I hope you're not tired of seeing me work with this set!  I went the clean and simple route with a few of my favorite colors to create a very sweet card for my friend. This particular sentiment from the set is my favorite!  What could be cooler than being called the sprinkles on the cupcake of life??  I don't know, because nothing is better than sprinkles!  My inspiration came from the way cool sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, check it out.  I looked at this sketch and immediately saw a cupcake in place of the butterfly and knew Sprinkles of Life would be the set to go with. Let's look at the colors I used, there's old and new. I am already obsessed with the combo of Bermuda Bay and Pool Party.  But add in the new Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe then you really have a GORGEOUS set of colors! With Father's Day fast approaching, I have been working on cards for the men in my life.  I bet you can guess my go to set for masculine cards..... yep....Guy Greetings! I was one happy camper when this set showed up in the Occasions Catalog and even happier now that it's going into the new Annual Catalog!  You can do something for every guy in your life, it's really got a little bit of everything!  My hubby is a carpenter by trade so the tools in this set were a no brainer for his card this year.  My inspiration???  Well, Create with Connie and Mary has a great color challenge going so that's where I started. When the new In Colors were revealed, I started something new to help with color inspiration.  I punched circles for all the color families so I can sit down and put together great new combinations.  I have been taking pictures of the circles next to my cards whether new colors or old to show them off better.  So, here's today's colors with...

How about another card using my favorite new set from the upcoming annual catalog??  I hope you don't get tired of seeing Sprinkles of Life cards because I can't get enough of this super cute stamp set! When in need of a quick and easy card, this is the way to go!  You can thank Mary Jo over at Techno Stamper for this fun card idea!  I used her Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge to create a bright and happy birthday card. When I first looked at the sketch, I immediately knew I was going to use the new Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack for my background.  There are soooooo many cute patterns to choose from!  In the end, I went with the multi-colored polka dots paired with a Watermelon Wonder card base. I love punch art but don't find myself using it much in my cards.  So when I sat down to work on today's card I had to ponder it a bit!  I hope you will enjoy what I came up with featuring my favorite Berry Basket die and a heart punch! Strawberries are a favorite of mine and I was so hungry by time I finished this card!  Aren't the heart strawberries sweet?!  I think adding embossing with the Decorative Dots folder really made them convincing! With the strawberries being so bold, I felt like a bold greeting was necessary to balance things out.  So,...
