Halloween Cupcake Picks

Image
One of the first 3D projects on my list was the cupcake picks that I am crazy about!  They are sooo much fun to make and so simple!  I have figured out that the dimensionals work great for attaching the pennant to the toothpick.  I used to use the pop up glue dots, but sadly they are no longer available :(  Anyway, on to the picks! I used my good ole Batty For You stamp set that is a favorite for me.  I just cut out the center images to place on the pennants.  There are a ton of options for these.  The new Spooky Bingo Bits set is PERFECT for this idea. A Pennant Parade Halloween

Image
As you already know, I LOVE the Pennant Parade stamp set and coordinating punch Petite Pennants Builder.  So you know I had to do a Halloween card using them!!  This card came together quickly using just the punch, a couple of small circle punches,  the web from Wicked Cool and Sweet Shoppe Lower Alphabet. I had just as much fun editing this picture as I did creating the card!  It was fun changing things up a little!  This card is a 3x6 which I don't do very often, but thought it worked well for a banner card.  I hope you like it! Please come back to check out more Halloween ideas.  I just love creating for Halloween so I have lots of tricks up my sleeves!!! If it doesn't move..stamp it!!! I love Strawberries!

Image
I just love strawberries, and I have seen a lot of cute strawberry punch art cards so I made one too!  For my strawberry I used the Ornament Punch and the 5-Petal Flower Punch. I used Crumb Cake card stock (I can't stop using this color!!) which I embossed using the Big Shot and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I embossed the strawberry itself as well with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder.  I added leaves and flowers for the finishing touches using the Little Leaves Sizzlits and the Boho Blossoms Punch.  The greeting was added to the corner with the Word Window punch layered onto the Modern Label punch.  This turned out to be another card I've made using only one stamp, the greeting.  Everything else is punched or die cut!  I don't know that I can make a card without my Big Shot or punches!  I just love how both make card making easy! A Quick Belated Birthday Card

Image
I am not the best at remembering important dates, so forgetting a birthday is no surprise!  I wanted something cute yet quick, so here's what I did. I used the retired hostess set Longfellows, I think it's just too cute!  A bit of Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi, and you've got a turtle card!  I added some dimension using punches for borders and then a little shading on the turtle with a blender pen and ink pads.  Quick and easy, gotta love it!  Now I have to actually get it in the mail box! Pennant Birthday Part Three and some fun pictures

Image
Today I'm sharing close ups of  the card that started the whole thing! I used Crumb Cake for the card base, I like the way it is subtle against the bolder colors for the pennants.  I went with the colors from the Just Add Cake DSP, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, and Poppy Parade.  When I originally made the card, I didn't have the Poppy Parade accent on the bottom of the card.  It just didn't look right, too plain.  So I added the splash of Poppy Parade and it was just perfect!  I used the Scallop Border punch the mimick the scallops from the pennants, all matchy, matchy!  I didn't want to mess with string for the pennants, so I used the small flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack to add at the top for the finishing touch. Next in line was the cupcake picks...you can never have too many!  I just made jungle animals for Benjamin's birthday, so the toothpicks were out on my desk calling to me!  The pennant punch is PERFECT for this idea.  I put these picks together s
